Tunisia

Tunisia, where the program is based, is a marvelous place for you to embark on an experiential learning adventure. With its rich mix of North African, Arabic, and European cultures, and nearly 3000 years of history, there is simply no place on earth like Tunisia. When you study abroad in Tunis, you can explore the colorful, narrow streets of the Medina in the morning and visit Bardo Museum in the afternoon. Or enjoy the warm sun on la plage (the beach) in La Marsa, then grab a Bambalouni from Sidi Bou Said without missing the pleasurable sight of its breathtaking views and the unforgettable blue and white painted walls and doorways. In our Tunisian study abroad programs, Tunis, Palermo, and Kairouan will be your classrooms, and we will facilitate your learning by offering unique lectures, visits, and social activities:

You will meet with chefs and visit Tunisian and Sicilian organic cheese and olive oil production facilities, house of dates, utilizing case studies from local food associations.
Talk to the owners of an independent farm.
Meet migrants and learn about their stories of adaption and integration whether in Tunis or in Palermo
